Outdoor Fitness

Bootcamp- Powered by Blessing Health Systems(Spring/Summer/Fall): The new outdoor fitness boot camp training systems accommodate multiple users at once, reducing wait times and providing a wide range of training options at every station. Making it fun and easy for people of all fitness levels to spend more time outdoors exercising, training for sports, races or everyday life. These fitness classes are put on by Blessing Health Systems and want you to enjoy the outdoors and stay active.

They will be held on Monday at South Park & Wednesday at Bob Mays Park. Twice a Week from 5:30 to 6:30.

Cost: $45 – 10 Class Punch Card (No Expiration)

Spring- April 5- May 26, 2021

Summer- June 7-July 28, 2021

Fall- August 16-October 6, 2021


Low Impact Fitness Exercise (YEAR ROUND):  Low impact fitness has been recommended by sports physicians across the nation for those wishing a safer workout. The stress to joints is greatly reduced by an avoidance of the jumping, pounding movements of the past. All sessions are open to everyone, male or female.  The class will feature a gentle warm up, floor exercise and a low impact style workout.  L.I.F.E. will be taught by Diane Giesing, a long time L.I.F.E. participant/instructor substitute and fitness enthusiast.

A 10-class punch card is available for purchase, $30, and must be picked up at our office located at 1231 Bonansinga Dr.  AGES: 16+

Yoga (YEAR ROUND): Yoga will be taught by Vicki Ebbing, a certified yoga instructor, who has taught exercise classes for the Quincy Park District for 30 years and will be retiring at the end of May 2021. This beginners class will be directed at students new to yoga or those who have not practiced recently.  Classes will be catered to the ability levels of those students in attendance. Students will be taught proper alignment and form which will lead to improved fitness levels, balance and individual well-being. As students progress, they will be taught more advanced techniques including Vinyasa flow, which challenges students even more.

A 10-class punch card for Yoga and Pilates is available for $50 and must be picked up at our office located at 1231 Bonansinga Dr.  AGES: 16+

Monday, Thursday:  4:30 p.m. – 5:15 p.m.

Zumba Fitness (YEAR ROUND): Zumba is a dance-fitness class that combines Latin and International music and dance moves. The combination of music and movement creates a dynamic, exciting and effective fitness program.  New to the Park District is Zumba Step, held on Wednesdays and Fridays.  Zumba Step is perfect for those who are looking to feel the burn. Looking to strengthen and tone up your legs and glutes? Step right up!  Participants must register and obtain your 10-class punch card for $50 at the Quincy Park District office, 1231 Bonansinga Dr. between 8- 5 p.m., Mon.-Fri. Punch cards will not be available to purchase at class. Participants must have their card to enter class.(No exceptions).  AGES: 16+

Wednesday:  6:00-7:00 p.m.

Aqua Zumba® (SUMMER): Aqua Zumba® is a low-impact, high energy aquatic exercise class that blends the Zumba® philosophy with water resistance. Thus, creating a workout that provides less impact on your joints.  The water creates natural resistance which means every step is more challenging and helps tone your muscles. This class takes place at Indian Mounds Pool and Zumba Punch Cards are used to attend.  Zumba Punch Cards are $50 for 10 class punch card and they may be purchased at the Quincy Park District business office at 1231 Bonansinga Dr. AGES: 18+
June 1- August 12, 2021 (Tuesdays and Thursdays): 7:15-8:15 p.m.



North Quincy Sports Night:cancelled due to COVID-19 The Quincy Park District and Grandview Church are partnering together to offer North Quincy Sports Night!

North Quincy Sports Night is a FREE program offered to youth in Quincy that offers a safe fun place to hang out and have fun! The gym is available for shooting hoops and pick up games of basketball. We also have an area that will have board/card games, coloring supplies available.

It is held every Thursday while school is in session from 5:30-7:00 p.m. in the Grandview Church Gym located on the corner of 10th and Spruce. All that is needed to participate is a signed waiver from a parent or guardian. Register on site when North Quincy Sports Night is in session from 5:30-7:00 p.m.
AGES: 6-18

 (program not held on “no school days”)
