The Quincy Park District is a separate municipal governing agency established for the purpose of providing and maintaining park land, facilities and recreation programs for the community. The Park District is governed by seven elected Commissioners who set policy for the operation of the District without remuneration. Regular public meetings of the Board of Commissioners are held the second Wednesday of each month at 6:00 p.m. in the Board Room with the exception of the February board meeting which will be held on February 16, 2011 at 6:00 p.m. at the Emerson Community Center, 1310 Washington.
