Emerson Community Center
The Emerson Community Center is located in the park at 1310 Washington, and houses the Park District offices. A gymnasium with a basketball court, activity center and indoor playground are available for the public to rent for business and social gatherings.
Activity Center
The Park District has an all-purpose activity center in the Emerson Community Center, 1310 Washington. This facility is available for group outings, receptions, parties, classes, etc. Air conditioning is available, at an additional charge.
- Non-profit: $38/hour or $100/3 hours.
- Profit oriented, recreation & educational groups: $47/hour or $120/3 hours.
- For-profit/Business: $61/hour or $160/3 hours.
Plus, $50 minimum staffing fee for weekend activities of 3 hours or less; $10/hour for each hour over 3 hours.
Gymnasium
The gymnasium is available for public group functions and recreation activities, 3 to 10 p.m. Monday through Friday. Food, drink and street shoes are not allowed in or on the gymnasium floor.
Fees:
Day Rate: $11 for 3-5:30 p.m.
Evening Rate: $30 for 5:30-10 p.m.
Reservations can be made through the Quincy Park District Business Office. Payment is due at time of rental.
Indoor Playground
The Indoor Playground is available to kindergarten and preschool children. Children must be accompanied by an adult. The maximum number of children that one adult can bring to the playground at one time is four.
The Indoor Playground includes a carpeted play room featuring a wide variety of attractive play equipment such as slides and climbers. A gym is also available that includes various balls.
